MARBLES Exhibition & Outreach Event

The MARBLES exhibition and outreach event was held by our partner, the Naturalis Biodiversity Centre (Naturalis) in Leiden, The Netherlands, in April 2026. The concept of the exhibition was to display an “underwater pharmacy” to showcase the Ocean’s huge potential for pharmaceutical applications, with marine sponges at the centre of the show.

An outreach event was also held on 25-26 April 2026 to engage with visitors of all ages, notably through four interactive science talks, led by MARBLES partner Nicole de Voogd.
