                      20 Feb 2025 - 20 Feb 2025

Following the first Symposium in October 2023 (Edinburgh, UK), the second BBNJ Symposium will take place from 18-19 February 2025 in Singapore!

MARBLES (also BlueRemediomics) partners Marcel Jaspars (University of Aberdeen) and Thomas Vanagt (3BIO formerly ABSint) are organising a satellite workshop event in collaboration with Fran Humphries (Griffith University) at the Symposium.

The workshop will focus on “Article 12 in Action: Science-Policy brainstorm on effective implementation of notification requirements” and is taking place on 20 February 09:00 – 12:00 local time. The workshop will provide guidance and facilitate a discussion among stakeholders about what the BBJN Treaty means for their current and future research and development (R&D) as well as the commercialisation of marine genetic resources (MGR) in areas beyond national jurisdiction.

                      Register for the Satellite Events.
