MARBLES Annual Meeting 2024 in Denmark

On 28-29 August 2024, in the beautiful Rungsted north of Copenhagen, MARBLES partners gathered for the third MARBLES Annual Meeting. Everyone enjoyed their time in the Danish sun and particularly liked the insightful discussions. A special thanks to the DTU team for being such wonderful hosts!

Day one focused on progress updates from the eight active MARBLES Work Packages (WPs). The latest advances in their research were presented and discussed. On the second day, our advisory panels, the APPLE (Advisory Panel of Policy and Legal Experts) and the PIE (Panel of Industry Experts) convened and got involved in the discussions. These panels have several functions, including directing the project's legal and policy work (APPLE), ensuring outreach to the policy community (APPLE), assisting in the selection of promising leads (PIE), acting as a sounding board for the larger business community (PIE) and assisting in the creation of the business case for MARBLES project results (PIE).

The MARBLES annual meeting was conveniently organised just before the MARBLES partners attended the XIII European Congress on Marine Natural Products and XVII International Symposium on Marine Natural Products (MaNaPro/ECMNP Conference) which took place from 3-8 September 2023 also in Granada, Spain!

We are already looking to our next Annual Meeting which is planned to take place in Denmark with our partner, Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
